The Alfa Romeo 2000 Sprint Bertone is one of the most successful testimonies of the arrival of Giorgetto Giugaro at Carrozzeria Bertone. Launched in 1959, it is a coupe with a very elegant and modern design that previewed the Alfa Romeos of the following decade. Using the magnificent in-line 4-cylinder 2-liter engine, mated to a 5-speed gearbox, just a tad more than 700 units would be produced before being replaced by the 2600 Sprint in 1962.

As can be seen in the car’s original Italian libretto, this beautiful Sprint that we are offering was registered for the first time in the province of Vercelli in Pied-mont. Found in 2015 by an Italian collector, it was in a grey shade, but needed to be restored. The workshops of Modena Classic Work then began the restoration work, which was of a very high quality. When the bodywork was stripped the original color, Biancho Panna, was discovered. The chrome was completly restored, the interior was partially preserved and cleaned, the dashboard top being covered with new leather, as per the original. The mechanicals were re-vised, while the electrical system was redone. The car is today on offer in a superb condition, after a restoration which was carried out without consideration of cost. Powered by its original engine, this car represents a rare opportunity indeed.
